Method

  1. Step 1

Stir the yeast into the warm milk with a pinch of sugar and let it foam 5 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Mix in the sugar, melted butter, eggs, salt, and flour to form a soft dough. Knead 8 minutes until smooth, then cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.

  3. Step 3

Roll the dough into a large rectangle. Spread with the softened butter and sprinkle evenly with the brown sugar and cinnamon.

  4. Step 4

Roll it up tightly from the long side and cut into 12 rolls. Place in a buttered baking dish and let rise 30 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Heat the oven to 350 degrees F and bake 25 to 28 minutes until golden.

  6. Step 6

Beat the frosting ingredients until smooth and spread over the warm rolls. Serve gooey and warm.

Cook's tips

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning right before serving -- salt levels vary a lot between brands of broth, sauce, and canned goods.
  • Prep all the ingredients before you start cooking; this one moves quickly once it is on the heat.
